I live in the Netherlands. I am a doctorate in Chemical Genetics from Germany and currently working as a permanent research scientist in a Dutch Biotech MNC.
I did my schooling from various Kendriya Vidyalaya schools. I was a Calcutta university topper in my BSc and later obtained a Masters in Biotechnology. In 2011, I moved to Cologne, Germany for my Ph.D at the Max Planck Institute and continued working as a postdoc until 2018. I then moved to VIB, Gent in Belgium for another postdoctoral stint before moving to the Netherlands in 2019 for my job.
I belong to an Ex-army nuclear family settled in West Bengal, near Kalyani. I was born in Punjab and raised across different Indian states. Ergo, my upbringing is quite mixed. I am blessed with loving, liberal, and progressive parents. My elder sister is a school teacher and happily married to a bank manager, currently living in UP.
I am fascinated by science and love doing research. You will find me as a fun-loving person with a mix of wit and sarcasm. I am fluent in English, Hindi, Bengali, German, and am currently learning Dutch. I enjoy backpacking across Europe and when time allows I like to go music concerts or stand-up shows. On regular days, you will find me in the gym.
I am here to meet a self-made, progressive, and jovial person who wants to achieve more in her career either academically or professionally.
