PERSONAL INFO: I am very independent and have been on my own since age 16 when I left home to complete my Junior and Senior years of High School out of town. I pursued two undergraduate degrees at the University of Missouri, Columbia, MO and Masters Degree from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA.
OTHER ACTIVITIES: I am physically very active and maintain my daily workout routine plus the weekly Yoga exercises to stay fit. I do not smoke . I volunteer at "Coder Dojo" where I teach school aged kids how to code. I also helped organize monthly "Start-up Weekend" in Kansas City and have been part of the start-up scene in Kansas City for over 4 years. I run a personal blog, to which I contribute regularly and this is where I share my thoughts on just about anything. I have a very diverse friend circle including people from several ethnic backgrounds. Unfortunately, I do not have any desi Fobs in my social circle. Besides English, I speak German and Russian. I am just now learning Hindi, can understand most of it and speak a little bit.

FAMILY: I believe in the family unit and am very close to my kid sister who is 6 years younger. Love my parents but our relationship is not like those of typical desi families. I respect both my parents but we do not believe in falling at their feet each time I meet and other such rituals. We are a close-knit family with contemporary ideals.

RELIGIOUS BELIEFS: I accompany my parents to the temple whenever I am with them but I do not have any religious beliefs one way or the other. I have read Gita, Upanishads as a child when my parents used to host weekly Gita sessions at our home in Quincy, Illinois along with other families in the community.

About Life Partner Preferences:

MY IDEAL PARTNER: Would be professionally educated and employed. She would be either born in the North America or would have spent majority of her life in the United States. She will easily blend in with my friends and not be judgmental. I hold myself to very high standards and expect my life partner to also to hold herself to high standards as well.
