Hello, my name is Debabrata Roy, and thanks for viewing my profile. How does one describe an entire personality, shaped by a long, rich life experience in a brief essay? It just can't be done. The information that I provide here will just give you a glimpse into who I am. To get a fuller understanding of who I am, we will need to get in touch.

I had a degree in visual art, and I eventually became an established commercial photographer. In the US, I got an MFA in photography. I have taught photography in college. Currently, I am a software test automation engineer.

I came to the US in 1992. I was married for decades, which ended in divorce in 1996. I have a wonderful daughter who graduated from UGA. She is the apple of my eye, and I am blessed to have my love reciprocated. She graduated from UGA and is currently employed.

It’s hard to describe myself I will try. If we ever choose to explore a connection; you can be the judge. I like to think I'm intelligent, honest, kind, loving, and have a liberal view of the world. I have traveled widely, and I love to explore new cultures and places. I am an agnostic, but I also have a spiritual bent and am drawn toward Buddhist principles.

I find intellectual conversations especially stimulating. I fully respect your right to your own religious and political beliefs, provided we agree not to allow that to impact our friendship.

My passions include NPR, photography, gourmet cooking, traveling, camping, hiking, and hanging out with good friends. I love exploring different ethnic cuisines. I try to live a healthy lifestyle and work out regularly.

I am searching for someone who is understanding and caring, but also someone who is independent. I am looking for someone who, like me, wants to settle down. It sounds like a cliche, but I am looking for a soul mate. I offer the same things in return.
