Our son is an avid traveller who enjoys outdoor activities such as camping and SCUBA diving – he is a certified advanced diver. He is passionate about food and loves cooking and trying new foods, and his favourite cuisines are North Indian, French, and Thai. His love for adventure and food stems from the fact that he has lived in 10 cities in 4 countries, and consequently enjoys learning about other cultures.

He has been an eager reader ever since he learned how to read, and relishes both fiction and non-fiction books. He is also fond of squash, board games, live music and theatre, and stand-up comedy, activities which he often shares with his family and friends, with whom he shares close bonds. His friends enjoy his company as he is affable and easy-going, intelligent, rational, progressive, and has a great sense of humour. Udit is also very socially conscious, and some of the causes dearest to him are sustainability, the environment, and conservation.

He has always had a penchant for technology, and elected to do his undergrad in Industrial Engineering from the University of Michigan. He worked in tech and management consulting for several years before leaving to do his MBA from UCLA. He moved to Delhi after completing his master’s degree and is currently working in real estate development.

Udit's father is a Port Captain, and I am a management consultant. Our daughter (unmarried) has a bachelor's and master's degrees in Industrial Engineering from the University of Michigan, and is working with Amazon in the US. Our extended family are all highly educated and well settled.
