My son is an independent IT professional. Very soft spoken friendly person. Born in Montreal and moved with us to Alberta, a state in western Canada when he was 6 months old. After High School he went to Northern Alberta Institute of technology, Edmonton and completed IT diploma. He has an excellent employment and has been living on his own for the last 12 years in the residence he owns. He is 15 minutes drive from us. We meet every week. He understands Hindi but cannot speak. He loves board game, camping, and social gathering. He keeps taking up grading courses in order to excel in his profession... He visited India only twice when he was under 15. He loves and plays Ice hockey.
I, was born in Lucknow and raised in Delhi. In 70s I left India on my own to study in Switzerland, I stayed in Europe for about 4 years and then immigrated to Canada. My wife was born in Gaya , Bihar. She upgraded her education in the University of Alberta and briefly worked for Alberta Government. She holds a M.Sc. degree in Plant Pathology. Both of us are retired and live in the house we got constructed in South West Edmonton.
My father and Mother: ( Both passed away ) My dad hailed from Barabanki and mom from Delhi. Dad was a Psychologist, Senior scientific officer in the Min. of Labour and mom was a teacher /house wife. She had a Master’s degree. I or my son in question never lived /visited Barabanki.
My In-laws: My father-in-law was a Pro-vice chancellor of Magadh University of Gaya , Bihar. My mother-in-law also holds a Master’s degree and was a teacher for a while.
My Children: I have 2 sons, both were born in Canada. Elder one is 36 ( son in question). The other son is 34, not married. He is a Dentist after graduating from the University of Michigan, U.S.A. He works and lives 300 Kms from us.
