Registration on Vivaah.com Matrimonials is an easy 2 step process. In step 1 you create an account for which is then followed by creation of your profile. Adding partner preferences and photograph are then optional. Filling them is advised as it improves your chances of being seen and contacted.
Can I register a matrimonial account on behalf of a relative or a friend?
Yes you can! In the registration form you can specify your relationship with the person on whose behalf you're registering a matrimonial account.
The form seems to be a bit long. Do I need to fill it entirely?

While registering and creating a matrimonial profile, can I avoid providing information in the mandatory fields?
No. All the mandatory fields have to be filled in order to complete the registration process. These mandatory fields provide essential information about you to other members who view your profile.
My Caste/ Mother tongue/ Occupation is not listed in the registration form of Vivaah.com. What should I do?
Vivaah.com has tried to be as comprehensive while creating the many lists being used in the registration form. However, it is possible that your particular caste, mother tongue, education, Occupation etc may not be there. In such an event please use the 'Other' option provided to you.
Alternatively you can send an mail us clearly listing the new addition you would like us to make. We do not guarantee that your suggestion will be accepted, we will try our best to ensure that it does.
The registration form requires information about my time of birth and city of birth. What if I am not sure of these details?
These details are usually of interest for matching horoscopes. You may leave these details blank if you are not sure of answers to these questions.
What is the meaning of Manglik?

What does the 'Vegan' option under "Diet" mean?
A Vegan person is a strict vegetarian, who eats only foods of plant origin and does not eat animal or dairy products at all. Vegan is a diet that excludes all meat, fish as well as any food derived from a living animal such as eggs or milk.
Are there any specific Dos and Don'ts while specifying a Profile ID during registration?
Choose a Profile ID that suits your profile and personality. Your Profile ID can contain only alphabets, numbers and the underscore ( _ ) character. The length of the Profile ID should be between 4 and 20 letters.
Your Profile ID should not contain contact information like e-mail address, telephone numbers, website addresses, fax numbers, etc for your own safety and privacy.
Are there any specific Do's and Don'ts while creating a matrimonial profile on Vivaah.com?
Do not use your matrimonial profile to display your contact details. Do not make commercial use of it and do not include content that is vulgar, pornographic or racist.
Be as detailed as possible while creating your profile. After your profile is activated, be sure to fill in the Partner Profile and also to upload a photograph.
While registering I got an error message which asks me to choose another Profile ID. Why?
This is because the Profile ID you chose has already been registered by another member of Vivaah.com.
While registering, I got an error message that says that my e-mail address is already registered with Vivaah.com and that I must specify another e-mail address. Why does this happen?
Every profile posted on Vivaah.com is associated with a unique e-mail address. You may have received this error message because you or someone else has already posted a profile using the given e-mail ID. If you think your e-mail ID is being used by someone else, please do send us an e-mail from the e-mail address that is under contention and let us know.
What is partner preferences?
The partner preferences describes your preferences for the marriage partner. Other members can view your partner preferences and if they think that their profile matches your preferences, they can express interest in you. You can edit you partner preferences any time.
Also, Vivaah.com's intelli Match service matches your partner preferences with other members' personal details and gives you a list of those matching profiles.
